We want to continue to be "a company capable of sustainable growth." This is my dream for Mitsubishi Cable Industries Ltd.

Since the company's establishment in 1907, we have contributed to society by providing wires, cables, and other products that are indispensable to social infrastructure. We integrated our wire and cable business with Fujikura Ltd. in 2016. Known today as Fujikura Dia Cable Ltd. (FDC), we continue to pursue further development in this field.

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Cable Industries Ltd. has shifted its main focus to high-value-added products such as high-performance seals and optical application products derived from wire and cable technologies.

These ventures have been focused on responding to customer demands for semiconductor-related products that support the ever-growing digital industry, automation in an aging society with a declining birthrate, and advanced medical work.

However, we are witnessing rapid changes in the environment surrounding each business. Future growth cannot be expected if we remain stuck in the same place. We believe that responding to ever-evolving customer requirements in concrete ways by proposing new products and technologies from new and appealing perspectives with a sense of urgency and continually repeating this process is essential for sustainable growth.

In addition, we need to work on solving common challenges facing humanity such as SDGs and carbon neutrality. Energy and resource conservation is essential for us in the manufacturing industry. We will also actively engage in recycling and designing products that reduce environmental impact.
